MK have signed a world-exclusive contract with News International Ltd - the UK's division of News Corp - to sell their MAN Newsman 40 newspaper presses in 2007 and 2008.

News Corp are one of the world's largest media groups, with interests in Australia, the USA, the UK and China. News International produce The Sun, The Times, The News of the World and other leading UK newspaper publications.

After more than one year of tendering, meetings and presentations, MK secured the contract earlier this year, and are now contacting leading newspaper companies world-wide about the availability of the MAN Newsman 40 press-lines. We will have up to 22 presses for sale, providing prospective buyers with the option of either buying a smaller amount of press-lines for a specific project, or a larger amount of press-lines to complete overhaul their various plants with one brand and model of machinery. The young presses also come with CTP pre-press and state-of-the-art Ferag mailroom.

MAN Newsman 40 & Colorman 35
Cut-off: 578mm / 22.75" cut-off

Each press has the make-up of 3 printing towers each comprised of 6 couples as a 4 couple satellite unit with 2 upper couples.

The presses are divided into odd and even grouping where the even presses can cross select one unit from an odd press to make the even press a four unit press.

Each press has five reelstands and can borrow up to three reelstands from the adjacent press making it possible for 8 reels to feed one press.

·           Max. B/S product = 40pp with 16pp colour (Using the 5 reelstands only)

·           Max. Tab product = 80pp with 32pp colour

·           Odd numbered presses have one jaw folder.

·           Even numbered presses have 1 jaw folder & 1 rotary folder only one of which can be used at a time

·           The jaw folders are designed for a maximum 160pp tabloid

·           The rotary folders are designed for a maximum 256pp tabloid
